Eugaean Hills

The Euganean hills, of volcanic origin, are the first regional park of Veneto. Their vegetation is characterised by a wide variety of species, which make this territory a complex naturalistic wonder. It has also charmed many artists and literary men, among whom was Francesco Petrarca, a famous Italian poet who chose to spend his last years in his quiet home in the small Eugenean village of Arquà.
