Sports and more in the Eugenean hills

The Euganean hills, of volcanic origin, are the first regional park of Veneto. Their vegetation is characterised by a wide variety of species, which make this territory a complex naturalistic wonder. It has also charmed many artists and literary men, among whom was Francesco Petrarca, a famous Italian poet who chose to spend his last years in his quiet home in the small Eugenean village of Arquà.

Enhanced by medieval villages, fortresses, castles, Patrician villas and museums, the Euganean hills are the ideal destination for people who are nature-oriented, love cycling and hiking, but also love art and history. Hiking tours of varying levels of difficulty depart from every town and open up to extraordinary vistas.
